Friss selects the tearaways for Inshared
An insurer who gives money back? Where the bonus/malus has been cancelled? And who does this all online?
InShared (www.inshared.nl) is the first insurer to guarantee that excessive profits will be paid back to the customer. The insurer lets the money that has been reserved for settling claims but that has not been used flow back to those who it has insured. The excessive profit is paid to people who have not made any claims so that everybody benefits. On top of this InShared also has a low cost structure so that it is one of the least expensive insurers in the market. InShared is an initiative of Achmea.
As the first 100% Internet insurer in the Netherlands Inshared operates as a mutual insurance company that will not conduct business with everybody. Because Inshared does not find it fair that people who make little or no claims have to pay for people who make a mess of things it only does business with the first group. This means that InShared is only for people who conduct their lives sensibly and together with us do everything possible to keep the total of claims as low as possible.
Friss makes this distinction for Inshared. Before a policy is accepted the applicant is screened in real time using the Friss knowledge rules including the use of external sources. The results from these checks are used to determine whether a person will be accepted for the insurance or not.
